Hosted by Wild Sheep Foundation President Gray Thornton, with frequent appearances by WSF Life member & MLB Hall of Famer’ Wade Boggs, Hittin’ the Outdoors features both mountain and western big game hunting in the U.S., and throughout the world, and highlights the vital role hunters play in modern wildlife conservation.  Since 1977, the Wild Sheep Foundation has spent over $80,000,000 on conservation projects with the single purpose of putting sheep back on the mountain.  The WSF’s passion and dedication to conservation is evident in every aspect of this television series, and is one of the very best examples of how hunters are truly the most important benefactors of wildlife today.   

With the majority of content being difficult and/or technical mountain hunts, HTO includes dramatic hunts for species seldom seen on traditional outdoor television.
